The International Weight Bias Summit 2024 brought together leading researchers, clinicians, advocates, and individuals with lived experience to advance global efforts to reduce weight stigma and discrimination. Held at Concordia University in Montréal in 2024, the two-day event focused on identifying priority research directions, strengthening international collaborations, and integrating lived experiences into every stage of research. Participants engaged in expert panels, facilitated discussions, and public knowledge-translation activities, generating concrete recommendations in areas such as public policy, measurement, conceptual clarity, and community-engaged research. Bias180 was pleased to support the summit, with four of our five board members actively involved. The report highlights summit outcomes, emerging research themes, and next steps toward building a long-term International Weight Bias Research Network dedicated to social change.
